Gaziantep University Faculty of Theology Conducted an International Accreditation Field Visit.

As part of international accreditation, a field visit to the Gaziantep University Faculty of Theology’s regular theology program was conducted between June 6-10, 2026. The international evaluation team arrived in Gaziantep on Saturday, June 6, 2026, and began their work with internal team meetings on Sunday, June 7, 2026. The process continued on Monday, June 8, 2026, with a visit to the Dean of the Gaziantep University Faculty of Theology, Prof. Dr. Erol Erkan, followed by a reception for the evaluation team by the Rector of Gaziantep University, Prof. Dr. Sait Mesut Doğan. Subsequently, meetings were held with the Quality and Accreditation Board, Faculty and Board members, the first group of academic staff, the first group of students (regular program students), and external stakeholders, and a tour of the faculty building was conducted. On Tuesday, June 9, 2026, meetings were held with the second group of academic staff, the second group of students, alumni, administrative staff, and the quality commission. On Wednesday, May 10, 2026, the field visit concluded after the Exit Notice was read aloud by the evaluation team leader, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bahar Çelik, to the Dean, Vice Deans, and academic staff of the Faculty of Theology at Gaziantep University in the Senate Hall of Gaziantep University.
