International Accreditation Certificates were given to Istanbul University (IU) Faculty of Theology by the Islamic Sciences Accreditation Agency (IAA) at the ceremony.
To the ceremony held at the Conference Hall of the Faculty of Theology; Istanbul University Rector Mahmut Ak, Dean of Faculty of Theology Ramazan Muslu, Deputy Deans, IAA President Halis Aydemir, IAC President İbrahim al-Ensari, IAA Board Members Rifat Türkel, Ahmet Türkan, IAA IAC members Ghazalla Ben Husein, Mokhtar Badri, IAA IAC Secretary Bahar Çelik participated online and academicians.
“Plan, Do, Check, Act”
To make the opening speech, Prof. Dr. Ramazan Muslu was invited to the podium. Starting his speech by emphasizing that IU Faculty of Theology is the second faculty in Turkey to receive accreditation in the field of higher religious education by being entitled to receive the International Accreditation Certificate for its formal Turkish and English programs, Prof. Dr. Muslu stated that as IU Faculty of Theology, accreditation studies started in 2020 after the encouragement and instructions of IU Rector Mahmut Ak.
Prof. Muslu; With the words “Our faculty has proven once again through this document that it has always aimed to be good and follows the dynamics of change and development of the world” since its establishment, having an international accreditation document makes IU Faculty of Theology more effective both at national and international level. He said that it will introduce students to students and positively affect their preferences.
“We have full belief that IU Faculty of Theology, which has internalized that quality is a total understanding, will continue its quality adventure in interaction with its internal, external and international stakeholders, in a transparent, accountable and harmonious manner, without slowing down.” Then, he concluded his speech by emphasizing that he plans to apply for the international accreditation of the Arabic Theology Undergraduate Program in the coming period.
“Accreditation is the Outward Reflection of Self-Confidence”
Taking the floor as the second speaker, IU Rector Prof. Dr. Ak started his speech by stating that IU has chosen to put its potential in the field into practice at the highest level possible, with a high goal and a high ideal.
She stated that the tradition of executing the discipline attained at the undergraduate level within a defined concrete framework is a behavior that makes graduate education qualified.

Then the President of the International Accreditation Committee, Dr. İbrahim Abdullah El-Ansari delivered his speech.
“Our Goal Is To Proliferate Good Apps As They Interact”
As the last speaker, the President of the International Accreditation Agency Prof. Dr. Halis Aydemir was invited.
After the opening speeches, the document presentation ceremony was held.
