IAA continued its stakeholder meetings regarding the preparation of “Islamic Sciences Accreditation Agency (IAA) Undergraduate Program Evaluation Criteria”. Within the scope of the visits to obtain the views and suggestions of stakeholder institutions, the IAA delegation consisting of Islamic Sciences Accreditation Agency President Prof. Dr. Halis Aydemir, Board Members Prof. Dr. Ahmet Türkan, Prof. Dr. Rifat Türkel, Dr. Ümit Aktı, Assoc Prof. Dr. Selami Erdoğan and Assoc Prof. Dr. Ömer Faruk Söylev held separate meetings with the Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC) President Muzaffer Elmas and Vice President Sibel Aksu Yıldırım at THEQC on 25.12.2018.
The meeting addressed the accreditation criteria for undergraduate programs of theology and equivalent faculties. In this context, mutual views were exchanged on the design and implementation of undergraduate programs, teaching staff, administrative and financial support, physical and technical infrastructure, research activities, student services, graduate qualifications, feedback from internal and external stakeholders, program-specific features and practices for quality assurance.
